Happy Spring!
We’re moving! Not the blog, don’t worry. My husband and I are selling our home in the suburbs and moving closer to Downtown Houston this Spring. So I hope you’ll tolerate and forgive less-than-punctual blog posts, newsletters, and basically me forgetting to brush my teeth until this transition is over. I’m seriously sleep deprived, over-caffeinated, and up to my eyeballs in boxes! I created a new Pinterest Board, From Suburbs to City, just to keep some of my million plans in one place. If you have any moving or general sanity advice, I’d love to hear it!
This is Red Shoes. Red Wine.’s quarterly newsletter/e-zine, and a short and colorful recap of all the adventures we’ve had this past quarter, blog posts that were published, and a reminder to subscribers of all the goodies hidden in the password protected Subscriber’s Only page (sign-up at the very bottom for the password).
Adventures on Instagram
As a reminder, the best way to get updates and follow day-to-day adventures is to follow me on Instagram. In the past quarter on Instagram, and not yet featured on the blog, are races, highlights from road trips, costume building, house hunting, and our fur babies. Below are the new blog posts published in the past quarter.

Subscriber’s Only Page
New to the blog last year is the password protected Subscriber’s Only page, where I’ve collected all my free downloads (packing lists, patterns, wine sheets, and recipes) just for newsletter subscribers. The preview above is a sample of what’s on the page, and I add more as I create new stuff! New in the last quarter are walking tours and recipes, so check them out! Please come back any time in the future for more!
What’s Coming This Spring
Well of course there’s the move this Spring, and hoping our home in the suburbs sells quickly. Because of that craziness, some costume projects have been put on the back burner, but I’ll get to sewing the rest of our Harry Potter costumes, and a couple old school costumes I’d like to make before DragonCon. We’ll see. The blog posts that I hope to finish are costume builds for Pitch Perfect and Wonder Woman, more cruise tips, highlights from our trips to Europe in 2017 (I’m like really really slow, I know) and British Isles cruise last year, and more skyline and tunnel geology walking tours of Downtown Houston. I’m sure there will be more as things pop up.
