Exploring Pasqua Wine & Food Pairing

Following the last edition of Supper Club Sips, we explored more lovelies from Pasqua in Northeast Italy: a fun prosecco and a delightful rose.

Wines we sampled:

Pasqua “Romeo & Juliet” Prosecco NV

Pasqua “11 Minutes” Rosé 2019

In the last edition, we sampled and paired Romeo & Juliet PassioneSentimento by Famiglia Pasqua and loved both the Bianco and Rosso. So we were excited to also sample a Prosecco from the same winery. Known by locals as the “welcome wine” we absolutely honored that tradition here with this affordable (less than $20/bottle) Pasqua Romeo & Juliet Prosecco. We saved Pasqua “11 Minutes” Rosé for dinner and paired it with gumbo, a French creole soup popular in this region. 11 Minutes is named for the exact length of time for contact between juice and skins in the winemaking process. The resulting color is gorgeous. The rose cooled the spice of the gumbo and was such a perfect pairing.

As always, I appreciate Creative Palate for sending over these fantastic samples, and our friends Cory and Sarah for cooking and hosting our Supper Club.
