Join Space Force at DragonCon and Do Your Part, So Say We All

As we inch closer to DragonCon 2018 and are all frantically sewing, repairing, and upgrading costumes, I’m sharing our Battlestar Galactica costume upgrade to include a Space Force cap.  As an Air Force veteran, I’m used to my branch being picked on by all other branches of the military (except the Coast Guard), so this just makes me giggle in the purest way.  Strictly politic free, but completely tongue in cheek, these are meant to make people laugh at con.  We almost always costume Battlestar Galactica at conventions because they’re soooo comfortable.  And now we have caps.  Will you join us?

Here’s what you’ll need to join Space Force:

• Cap/hat/cover THE HAT DEPOT Made in USA Cotton Twill Military Caps Cadet Army Caps (Black)
• E.F.S.F. Patch Earth FeferAtion Space Force Embroidery Velcro Patch(c) and/or
• Gunner Patch Shuttle Door Gunner Morale Patch (SWAT (Black))
• A cheeky sense of humor

 

 

The E.F.S.F. patches that my bro/fellow costume maker Aimee found include both hook and loop sides sew-in Velcro, so sewing one side of the Velcro to the cap is easier than buying and cutting Velcro to fit, and better than ironing on a patch.  Because…

 

 

…you can switch them out!  We also bought Space Shuttle Door Gunner patches (Aimee’s favorite), which did include hook Velcro on the underside of the patch, but no loop Velcro.

 

 

The Gunner patches switch out perfectly and only two corners of the loop Velcro is visible on the hat.

 

 

That was easy!  We’re wearing our Battlestar Galactica Space Force costumes on Thursday at DragonCon.  Join us!  Do your part, so say we all, and space power!
