I’ve witnessed several friends lose luggage (some recovered later, some never to be found again) while traveling. Hey, travel happens! I don’t check bags anymore. Ever. Yep, I can travel to Europe for two weeks with just a carry-on, and to be honest, it’s much more enjoyable not carting around all that extra crap anyway.
I always travel with a small backpack (packing list here) and a four spinner rolling suitcase that meets most airline requirements for carry-on. The four spinner suitcase contains everything not needed during the flight (think: what you would’ve checked before, but now you know better, right?). I’ve shared my Carry-On Suitcase Packing List (Packing Checklist for the Overhead Bin) in PDF format below, completely free to download. Also, read about my Tips for Nervous Flyers here.

Don’t forget a corkscrew (read about my TSA-compliant Carry-On Corkscrew here)!
