A Review of Taste of Home: Special Delivery Box

After a fun L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Liquid Lipsticks campaign from Influenster, I was sent the complimentary Boss Babe Vox Box to test and review, which included a variety of health, beauty, and home products. My favorite item in the box was an invitation to redeem and receive the Spring box from Taste of Home’s quarterly subscription service, which I redeemed right away, considering we were moving from the suburbs to the city and had a shiny new kitchen to outfit. Here’s my brief and honest review of Taste of Home’s Special Delivery Spring Box…

The offer to redeem the Taste of Home Special Delivery Spring Box, normally priced at $50 and valued at $80, was of course complimentary, but I did have to pay $5 shipping (I absolutely didn’t mind). Included in all of their quarterly subscription boxes are recipes (a cookbook and cards), cooking gadgets & kitchen products. I was most excited about the cookbook! I appreciated the option to try one box and not automatically subscribe to a service only to cancel later.

What arrived in my Spring Box was the Taste of Home 201 Recipes You’ll Make Forever cookbook (hello, comfort foods!), recipe cards, a Tovolo Berry Colander, a Tovolo Swizzle Stick Ice Mold, Stonewall Kitchen Traditional Popover Mix, Krumbs Kitchen Silicone Tongs, Epicurean Wood Fiber Spreader, and a CapaBunga Bread Cap. I thought this was a nice mix of items to compliment or replace items we had in our kitchen. And I’m really looking forward to completely gorging myself on popovers. I love carbs!

Also included in the box was a redeemable coupon for a ground coffee sample. For this sample, I paid $2 for shipping (I didn’t mind shipping on this as well). Since I don’t drink coffee (I’m a bit of an espresso snob), I had the coffee grounds sent to work and shared the pack with coworkers who do drink coffee. While I didn’t mind shipping charges on this sample, I did mind the automatic subscription to coffee grounds that I’ll never use, so I canceled my subscription promptly afterwards. Read the fine print guys!

While we haven’t done a whole lot of cooking in the new kitchen, we’ve celebrated small unpacking victories with bubbly, and the cookbook is proudly displayed on the counter in the background for when we’re fully unpacked and feeling experimental. I would absolutely recommend the Taste of Home Special Delivery subscription for anyone starting their kitchen out, anyone wanting to update their gadgets over time, and foodies that love to hoard random kitchen toys for any cooking situation that may arise. It’s a neat box!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
