8 Things I Just Noticed the 100th Time I Watched Pitch Perfect 3

The Pitch Perfect franchise is one of my favorites. It’s up there with Star Wars, Harry Potter, and others. I can quote all three movies in any conversation, I sing along to the soundtracks often, and I watch at least one of the three films every single time I fly. On one recent flight home from Orlando when I couldn’t drink wine because I was going straight to work afterwards, I noticed 8 new things from Pitch Perfect 3 that I hadn’t seen before…

8 Things I Just Noticed in Pitch Perfect 3

  1. We don’t actually see Fat Amy’s dad’s face in the first scene, only the back of his head.
  2. Beca figures out immediately that they weren’t asked to perform at the aquarium and doesn’t even have her scarf on.
  3. The blue cup Beca knocked out of Chloe’s hand is still on the floor when the young Bella’s walk away to perform.
  4. Lily/Ester looks hopeful when Aubrey says they’ll “run military dark ops”, and then disappointed when she said “of course to sing”.
  5. Gail is eating chips during the riff off. Looks like bbq flavor. So random. So ‘Merica.
  6. The guitar player for Evermoist is wearing a statement necklace similar to the one I made for my Afternoon Tea Darth Vader. Is that where I got the idea? Maybe subconsciously.
  7. During the second show, the Bellas‘ pre-performance ‘hands in’ is “Screw it, let’s just do it” which is what Aubrey said in the first film before a performance after they couldn’t coordinate their ‘hands in’.
  8. In the final performance after Satan left Lily/Ester’s body, she’s singing at full volume instead of beat boxing.

This got me wanting to watch the entire franchise with director’s commentary turned on, because although I think I’ve seen it all, I’m sure there are more easter eggs to find. What’s your favorite Pitch Perfect quote or scene?
