I’m a little (okay, a lot) late to the party, but I just finished reading all of the Harry Potter books. I loved them so much that current and planned costumes got pushed aside so I could make a bunch of Harry Potter costumes. Hogwarts house robes, Quidditch uniforms, McGonagall, Snape, Bellatrix…I should really stop there. This post is dedicated to the Molly Weasley costume that I put together for my mom.

In a pinch, and not being a knitter/crocheter (yet), I didn’t need to sew anything for mom’s costume. She already has red curly hair and a bubbly motherly personality, so it just seemed natural for her to pop in as Mrs. Weasley. I bought a dress that didn’t fit her (R.Vivimos Women Summer Print Deep V Neck Cotton Beach Long Dresses (XL, Red)), a poncho (BeautifulNomad Crochet Shawl Wrap Cape Poncho with Tassels for Women), and a beanie (BYOS Winter Chic Warm Double Layer Leafy Cutout Crochet Knit Slouchy Beret Beanie Hat (Light Gray Leafy))…and that was it!
